Historical about LU-FMS

The Lebanese University Faculty of Medical Sciences (LU-FMS) was established under Decree No. 1118/12 in October 1983. It has a leading role in medical education and in graduating future medical doctors with different specialities. This is clearly stated in the LU-FMS mission and vision. The future doctors are well recognised both nationally and internationally for their competence and performance. This is seen in the QS World University Rankings 2024 that places the Lebanese University 577 in rank worldwide; in Medicine it places the university 551-660 in rank worldwide 2020.
